The Mental Health and Wellness Worker provides a series of
educational workshops on Mental Health issues and resources available as
well as coordinates a Men's Wellness Group that meets regularly in the
community.
The Mental Health and Wellness Program is also mandated to develop a
support system for the community Elders through offering a program which
will include counseling, a referral source, accessing resources as
determined, wellness and cultural workshops and events.
The program also provides direct aftercare services to community members
who return from treatment programs, through one to one counseling, assist
with accessing resources in community and surrounding area and ongoing
personal development goals through self-esteem workshops.
The Mental Health and Wellness Worker also provides direct supportive
services and life skill programming to community members identified as
mentally challenged.
