The long term goal of the Social Services program of the Pic Mobert
First Nation is to have consistent, diverse and quality service that will
support the community in its goals of being a community free from abuse
and where membership can develop to their full potential as human and
spiritual beings.
While delivering Social Service programs, we understand the variety of
forces that have influences and continue to influence life within the
context of a First Nation community. Historically, cultural, social,
economic and political forces all demand a unique, integrated and holistic
approach to service.
The specific Social Services delivered from within the Pic Mobert First
Nation community include: a family support program, mental health
counseling referrals, a homemaking/personal support program, social
assistance and recreation program. All of these services are delivered by
a Social Service staff of six individuals which includes the Social
Programs Director.
Social Program Director
The Social Services Director administers all aspects of the Pic Mobert
First Nation Social Services. The Director ensures accountable service
delivery of Family Support, Mental Health & Counseling and Social
Assistance.
The Director also provides support, guidance and assistance to Pic Mobert
community members and Social Services staff.
