Pic Mobert Hydro Inc. Gitchi Animki Hydropower Project (GAHP) Construction Employment Opportunities Project Start Date: Spring 2012 - Expected Completion Date: January 2015 - Timelines subject to change due to unforeseen events. The Pic Mobert Hydro Power Joint Venture, a joint venture of the Pic Mobert First Nation and Regional Power Inc., will commence with construction of two new hydroelectric facilities on the White River in the coming months. The project is known as the Gitchi Animki Hydropower Project (GAHP). As part of this process, we are seeking to identify persons who are interested in working during construction, which will be carried out over an approximate 18 month period. The construction sites are located approximately 60 km south of White River and accessible via an all season road originating at White River. Employees from the local area would be encouraged to commute to the site as an alternative to living in a construction camp. The On Call Medical Drivers will work for the Pic Mobert Health Center to transport clients to access medical services outside the community on evenings and weekends. Evening and weekend Medical Driver schedules are developed monthly. Driving involves taking after hours clients to emergency or medical services and bringing them back when finished, or taking/ picking up clients from the Greyhound bus stop at the gate. Basic records are kept on dates/names of clients, use of the medical van, mileage and unusual incidents.
