Job Posting – Netamisakomik Centre for Education: Teaching Positions
The Netamisakomik Centre for Education in Pic Mobert First Nation is now recruiting for the following positions for the 2019-2020 school year and beyond:
- Kindergarten Teacher
- Grade 1-2 Teacher
- Grade 7-8 Teacher
- PE/Health Teacher
The Pic Mobert First Nation runs an independent not-for-profit elementary school offering an enriched program from pre-school to eight-grade. Our community is located 5km off the TransCanada highway (17) in beautiful northeastern Ontario. The community of White River is approximately 38km to the east and Marathon is approximately 80km to the west. Two major metropolitan centers Sault Ste. Marie (east) and Thunder Bay (west) are both approximately 3.5 hrs from our community.
Our school, the Netamisakomik Centre for Education is a small cooperative community, with a knowledgeable and dedicated teaching staff that focuses on individualized approach to learning.
Our program provides a balance of enriched academics, the arts, physical activity, and practical experiences. We promote academic excellence and aim to graduate confident learners who pursue their goals with passion, empathy and respect for others.
The Netamisakomik Centre for Education requires a Kindergarten Teacher, a grade 1-2 Teacher, a grade 7-8 Teacher, and a PE/Health Teacher for the 2019-2020 school year and beyond. We invite all qualified certified teachers to apply. Preference will be given to teachers who have experience teaching students of elementary school age. We are seeking educators who can provide a nurturing environment and deliver creative and engaging lessons while accommodating various learning styles and abilities.
